RADIO’S ROAD TO ITEXPO • FORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA
ITEXPO 2027 is bringing communications, AI agents, cybersecurity and the channel together. Here’s who to watch, what to ask—and where the business conversations continue after the demos.
Watch: our road to ITEXPO

Broward County Convention Center
Pack the questions. Leave room for the sunglasses. ITEXPO returns to Fort Lauderdale this February with an increasingly practical AI agenda: how to turn impressive technology into reliable communications, stronger security and a business that actually runs better.
The event sits at the center of TMC’s #TECHSUPERSHOW, bringing enterprise buyers, managed service providers, technology advisors, developers and communications suppliers into the same conversation. For a business owner, the appeal is the ability to compare connected pieces of a real operation—phones, customer service, networks, security and automation—in one trip.
The organizer’s 2027 program announcement puts AI readiness alongside AI adoption. That is the important shift. A clever agent still needs appropriate access, dependable data, a network that can support it and someone accountable when a workflow goes wrong.
Radio’s take: the best demo is the one that survives a follow-up question. Show us the workflow, the handoff to a human, the operating cost and the result a customer can measure. Then we can talk about the giant flamingo.
What the early exhibitor lineup tells us
The confirmed announcements show a substantial communications backbone: cloud calling, contact centers, custom voice software, billing, hardware and connectivity. AI is being discussed in that operational context, rather than floating above it as a standalone slogan.
Telarus returns as an ITEXPO Diamond Sponsor, while ThreatLocker returns as an MSP Expo Platinum Sponsor. C3 Complete, The Sagent Group, Network Optix, TotalPrintUSA and NHC broaden the picture across managed services, security, video intelligence and everyday IT operations. Their individually linked announcements appear in the guide below.
There is also an early investment signal: TMC reported returning-exhibitor renewals running 19.9% ahead of the same point a year earlier by signed contract revenue. That is a revenue comparison, not a 19.9% increase in exhibitor count. Read the organizer’s May 13 report ↗

BEYOND THE BOOTHS
One trip, several technology conversations
The 2027 announcements identify a family of co-located events. Check the pass details for access rather than assuming every workshop is included.
- MSP Expo ↗ — managed-service business strategy, cybersecurity and technology operations, with AI profitability prominent in the 2027 program brief.
- Generative AI Expo ↗ — deployment experience, governance and measurable outcomes, according to its 2027 call for papers.
- AI Agent Event ↗ and AI Developer World ↗ — the agent-building and development side of the wider show.
- Y2Q Summit ↗ — quantum-related encryption risk, cryptographic agility and migration planning.
- ITAD Connect ↗ — the show’s IT asset disposition event.
Sessions worth tracking
The developing 2027 agenda includes permission-aware enterprise agents, secure generative-AI adoption, reliable multi-stage agent systems, retrieval-augmented generation and AI infrastructure readiness. For MSPs, the published topics also connect AI services with governance, security and business economics.
Treat that as a planning shortlist. The organizer says the program is under development; final speakers, rooms, session times and pass requirements should be checked close to departure.
Radio’s five questions for a better demo
- Where does this fit? Show the tools and data it needs, plus the systems it replaces.
- Who is in control? Explain permissions, review points and the human handoff.
- What happens when it fails? Show recovery, logging and support ownership.
- What does the full service cost? Include usage, integration, maintenance and training.
- What result can we prove? Define a baseline, a small pilot and a measurable improvement.

AFTER THE DEMOS
The conversations don’t stop at the booth
The organizer’s networking page currently lists these 2027 events:
Tuesday, February 9 · 8–10 p.m.
Networking Live at the convention center, with a DJ and open bar. The page specifies a registered attendee badge and RSVP.
Wednesday, February 10 · 3–5 p.m.
The “Happy Two-Hours” reception on the expo floor, within the day’s published noon–5 p.m. exhibit hours.
Thursday, February 11
IDEA Showcase brings short startup pitches, audience voting and a reception. Check the official listing for the final timing and admission details.
Our South Florida campaign adds a different kind of energy: beach volleyball, rooftop-pool silliness, Las Olas waterways and a Miami side trip. Those are imagined Zip AI scenes—not organizer excursions or evidence that the cast has attended the event.

Make the trip useful—and leave some room for fun
Start with the venue: Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center, 1950 Eisenhower Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316. Use the official travel page to reach hotel and travel information, then verify the dates and current rates with the booking provider.
Book a few relevant vendor conversations in advance. Pick one problem to solve, three companies to compare and two educational sessions that fill a real knowledge gap. Leave gaps in the schedule for follow-up conversations; a full calendar is not the same thing as a useful trip.
For our team’s imaginary downtime, the dress code is considerably less corporate. Beach scenes mean swimwear. Rooftop pools mean sunshine. Miami deserves its own outing rather than being confused with the show’s Fort Lauderdale location.
My verdict: ITEXPO 2027 is worth watching for how communications, AI and managed services come together in working business systems. Come for the ideas, ask for the evidence, and keep enough personality in the trip to remember it.
